How to Earn Credit

  1. Research Test. I find reddit is the best source
  2. Modern States. Complete free courses at https://modernstates.org Completing these courses will give you a voucher to waive the fee for your first test
  3. Schedule test at testing center using voucher. Weber State Ogden and Davis Campus' both offer CLEP testing with a $30 fee
  4. Practice tests. The best practice tests are on Petersons (try to score 70%) with a subscription, but some tests can be found online for free. LLMs like ChatGPT or Claude can also create practice tests. You should time yourself during these tests

This test should be difficult enough that a score of 70% or better is expected to get higher than a 50 on the CLEP exam"

  1. Test Day. Sleep well, eat healthy, and keep in mind your problem areas. Memorize formulas so you can write them down on scratch paper before starting your exam.
  2. If you don't pass the exam, you can retake it after 3 months, but will not get another voucher from modern states.
